That was an extremely interesting exercise. I also think that the elected leaders question is a bit off in that although these things occur and these people are labeled great leaders it should have been different. The people with good moral foundations should be elected no matter what because these are the people who give a nation the greatest chance for success and just because there are a few examples to the contrary doesn't mean we should severely reconsider our thoughts about the importance of a candidate's morals.
John is right; while the second exercise was easily rigged to produce a surprising result, we have little choice but to elect leaders based on our best estimate of their (present and future) characters.
The test was set to baffle the quiz taker, yet it allows us to set a candidate in our minds who does not fit this criterion, a "perfect" elected filler, who would surely replace what we seek and cannot find. Yet, this test is impossible to determine based on that level of being without an accurate account of right answers, since it is flawed. But it can be used as an ice warmer, in the cold of political timeouts.
