oxymorons

oxymoron that combines two normally contradictory terms is a loanword from Greek oxy ("sharp") and moros ("dull"). so the word oxymoron is itself an oxymoron. did anybody no that? i just thought it was interesting. i also wonder what it is, that distinguishes oxymoron's from other paradoxes and contradictions. does an oxymoron have any real meaning, or is it just used for humor? either way it grasps your attention.

It seems that we have a natural propensity for self contradiction, especially when policies and self interestes are concerned.
